Pele, Shawnecy – Back To Army

Artist: Pele and Shawnecy
Title: Back To Army
Label: Get Physical Music
Style: Tech House
Quality: 320 kbps

Pele and Shawnecy have a history; Shawnecy worked on Pele & Findlings ‘Deep Sea’, delivering a divine remix for Get Physical and again together on Cecille Numbers with their ‘Kings Of The Garden’ EP. They’re back at it again on Get Physical with their ‘Back To Army’ EP. An insanely groovy bass pumper ‘Back To Army’ is the first of two tracks and its a big one. Huge bouncing basslines with classic House percussion and edgy vocal cuts is a little bit of what to expect, when you open this bottle of Tech House fire. ‘Suspect’ feat. Findling, takes that bass and pulls it deeper, closer to your soul. Heavy vibes with swaying percussion compliment the bass crawling up the scales in repetition. Pure bliss on the dancefloor!

Artist: Tim Green
Title: In Love (The Remixes)
Label: Get Physical Music
Style: Tech House, Deep House
Quality: 320kbps

When Tim Green came to us with his infectious and stunning ‘In Love’ EP, we knew immediately it would fit the Get Physical ethos perfectly. We fell ‘In Love’ with it’s warm groove as well as deep soulful vocal hooks straight away, now, we place it in the trusting hands of Audiofly and Robert Dietz to see what direction they can take it in. Audiofly’s sound is full of passion and groove hence why ‘In Love’ suits their style so well. The duo take Tim Green’s original and throw in a fat bass, their trademark sharp percussion which lead the way for the underlying, distant chords. They chop up the vocal to great effect and coupled with their adept production skills, turn ‘In Love’ into a roller coaster ride for dance floor enthusiasts. As for the mighty Robert Dietz, he fills the original with his unique driven energy and layers crisp percussion. He takes ‘In Love’; into a new and unique direction with his cleverly crafted reversed vocals, tight claps and cheeky delay. All the ingredients are there to make this track into a summer scorcher of a track, prepped and primed for the most discerning dancefloor.

Alex Flatner & Lopazz – Our Love EP

Artist: Alex Flatner & Lopazz
Title: Our Love EP
Label: Get Physical Music
Style: Deep House
Quality: 320 kbps

LOPAZZ is back on Get Physical Music. After producing ‘The Pleasure Principle’ Album with DJ T. and 2 ‘Ambient Film Themes’ albums as LOPAZZ & Casio Casino, collaborations with M.A.N.D.Y. and Gerd Janson from Running Back he is now continuing his classic-releases on Get Physical like ‘Share My Rhythm’, ‘We Are’ and ‘Migracion’ with ‘Our Love’. This time he’s joined forces again with Alex Flatner the duo already released several EP’s on Poker Flat and Cocoon Records. Alex Flatner runs his successful underground label Circle Music, works as an A&R manager for labels like Harthouse and Plastic City and is a highly regarded DJ. As a remixer he has created stunning versions of Gui Boratto’s ‘Atol’ , Terry Lee Brown Junior’s ‘Pulsar’ and Steve Lawler’s ‘Almerina’ to name but a few of many. From Reboot, Märtini Brös, to Joey Beltram, Alex has worked with many top respected names, including of course, studio master-mind LOPAZZ. The title track opens with a heavy kick groove and a thick jumpy bassline. LOPAZZ’ vocals are thrown in with the percussion to add to the atmosphere while leading the way to the walking organs. ‘Our Love’ takes a very sensual turn, but always maintains its firm composure. It will prove to be great mid set crowd pumper this summer. When making a fine sauce for any occasion, one has to reduce … the act of cooking things down to the bare essentials … That’s exactly what LOPAZZ & Alex Flatner have done to produce ‘Just A Memory’ … Keeping a strong bassline and sparse dirty synthlines to a staccato minimum. ‘2Night’ displays the sensual sides of the two producers, favouring piano against strings and sweet vocals. Bring in a smooth sine and all is right with the world. A great track with a bright, warm vibe to it and a solid end to a tight EP. Ladies and gentlemen, LOPAZZ and Alex Flatner – Our Love.

Tracklist:
01. Alex Flatner & Lopazz – Our Love (Original Mix) 8:27
02. Alex Flatner & Lopazz – Just A Memory (Original Mix) 8:30

Gavin Herlihy – Positive Thing

Artist: Gavin Herlihy
Title: Positive Thing
Label: Get Physical Music
Style: Tech House, Deep House
Quality: 320 kbps

After starting the year with a bang with releases on Culprit, Leftroom and Crosstown Rebels, Gavin Herlihy returns to Get Physical with his next EP, ‘Positive Thing’. The title track is a heavy blend of beats and reverb with a deep house vibe pouring out of it. A lot of pressure builds up in this track and escapes slowly like a hole in a tire to energize the floor. Beautiful synth work radiates throughout the mix, all leading up to a dreamy vocal line that stays in your mind while the bass returns and the crowd is in motion. Inxec & Droog take things further, with ambient synth work full of LFO and kicks. They take the bassline for a walk in the basement, while the vocal line stands in front of the mix. Chords come into the mix and warm up the night like pills from your pocket. ‘Rhea’ is a catchy, 80s synthpop inspired funk piece, sure to play in your head long after the party is over. The last track, ‘How We Do It’ features a deep wavy bassline under an almost dub inspired ambience of vocal cuts and delay, set in motion by a groovy percussive set. This is a deep track and ripe for dancefloors in mid-summer heat.

Tracklist:
01. Gavin Herlihy – Positive Thing (Original Mix) 8:01
02. Gavin Herlihy – Positive Thing (Inxec Vs. Droog Remix) 7:31
03. Gavin Herlihy – Rhea (Original Mix) 8:01

Ornette – Crazy

Artist: Ornette
Title: Crazy
Label: Get Physical Music
Genre: Deep House
Quality: 320 kbps

Noze’s elegant Body Language mix featured some real gems from the all corners of the earth. One of those gems is their remix of Ornette’s ‘Crazy’, a sensual, lively piece full of classical sounds and elegant vocal lines. These artists managed to capture the pure essence of the track in a bottle, and pour it smoothly over the dance floor. If you could give it a texture, the Nôze extended remix has an almost creamy feel to it. Smooth and driving, this is a solid track and you should be prepared to hear it complete some of the higher quality DJ sets and mixes around the world (as you might have already heard on Body Language Vol 11). Phonique is well known in Berlin for his residencies in Weekend and various remixes. His version of crazy pumps a deep disco vibe into the bassline and keeps the groove going. Pads rise and vocal lines open to bring crowd to their feet. When professional sound engineers produce a track you can hear the years of experience and love go into it. LOPAZZ takes a break from mastering and teams up with Casio Casino to give us the Roofmix, a mix of organic percussion and saucy groove. The ‘Call The Cops Remix’ marks Nick’s very first release, and on Get Physical nonetheless. The remix reflects a deeper side of the track. With pumping bass and a deep kick, Nick takes it down a bit into dub territory. Perfect for Home listening, as well as any afterparty, the mix lures the audience into a dreamy state of mind and holds them with a groove that touches you deep inside. We’ve included the original for your pleasure as well. Take these tracks, and treasure them. Quality tracks like this don’t come out every day.

M.A.N.D.Y. vs Adultnapper – Bus Ted

M.A.N.D.Y. vs Adultnapper – Bus Ted

Artist: M.A.N.D.Y. vs Adultnapper
Title: Bus Ted
Label: Get Physical Music
Style: Tech House, Deep House
Quality: 320 kbps

Adultnapper has been working a lot with M.A.N.D.Y., producing ‘201’ and the recent ‘Kindling’ release on Get Physical. The three friends bring us another release, inviting Detroit’s Kenny Larkin and Kris Wadsworth to the controls for their perspective on things, while Daria takes a different path. In short: these guys make a damn good mix. The boys first bring us a steamy mix of percussion and bass served on chilled tones. The track takes us through many places throwing eerie ambience at us at every directions and then gives us the beat in true M.A.N.D.Y. vs. Adultnapper style. Kenny Larkin takes us into his night. A highly infectious mix of wide pads and addictive vocal cuts riding a deep kick. The track leaves 4/4 in the dust and teaches us how to groove in the found chaos. The energy that comes straight from within and wonderful production is what really captures us. This is main time in Berghain’s Pano’ Bar with Kenny Larkin. Kris Wadsworth reveals a heavier side of tech, starting with dramatic percussives and dampened melody. Paired with Kris natural ability to produce an irresitabel dirty techno sound, ‘Bus Ted’ captures our attention quick. This is a dark mix expected to move bodies on the floor. Daria starts things out with a dusty vocal trapped under a sheet of effects. Very beneficial to the overall ambience of the track. The track opens for the rhythmic chords, muted yet thick. Strings rise slowly as kicks stutter their way through the crowd and push towards the sonic front. The final H2 remix on this EP begins with a deep, almost dreamy intro, only to jump on the bass with energy and ambition. The kick and the bassline work together beautifuly, creating a deep groove and taunting us from the dancefloor.

Tracklist:
1. M.A.N.D.Y. vs Adultnapper – Bus Ted (Original Mix)
2. M.A.N.D.Y. vs Adultnapper – Bus Ted (Kenny Larkin Long Neve Remix)

Heidi Presents The Jackathon – Da Remixes

Heidi Presents The Jackathon – Da Remixes

Artist: VA
Title: Heidi Presents The Jackathon – Da Remixes
Label: Get Physical Music
Style: Tech House, Deep House
Quality: 320 kbps

In the beginning there was Jack and Jack had a groove, and from this groove came the groove of all grooves… And house music was born. House is an uncontrollable desire to jack your body. And in this house the keeper is Jack. Until he met Heidi. Last year queen of jack Heidi flashed the world with her Jackathon compilation. Now Get Physical present three killer remixes from the compilation at the hands of key game players Deniz Kurtel, Richy Ahmed and Eats Everything. Wolf + Lamb home girl Deniz Kurtel is one of the most talented and respected producers in the industry. Honing her skills with the same dexterous elegance showcased in her LED sculptures, the Deniz Kurtel sound can be experienced across many shades in the spectrum of house. Here she adds her own spin to Solomun’s ‘What the Funk’ with a bouncing bassline and jacking beat. Hot Natured star Richy Ahmed provides his smooth twist on Mathias Kaden’s original ‘Jackathon’. Not too much, not too little, it’s just right. At the forefront of the new breed of British DJs redefining house through inspirations of funk and disco, Richy has spent the past few years taking his unique sound to the best parties in the world including Burning Man, DEMF, Glastonbury and Sonar. ‘Whiff It Yawl’ by Jamie Jones is taken into the hands of Bristol’s finest Eats Everything. Adding space too it, an airy mix of sound reverb adds ambience and energy, while the track slowly reveals itself and the powerful kick drops with full force. This peak time bomb is assured to destroy any dancefloor it hits! A female dance music icon, Heidi is often the unsung hero of her tribe. Hers is one of the only mainstream radio shows consistently championing the sounds of the current house and techno underground movement and a big part of that is reviving the music of the early Chicago masters. With a foot in the past but an eye on the future, Heidi is redefining the jack in Jackathon and always brings the funk.

Tracklist:
01. Jamie Jones – Whiff It Yawl (Eats Everything Resniff) 7:36
02. Solomun – What The Funk (Deniz Kurtel Remix) 5:03
03. Mathias Kaden and Gjaezon – Jackathon Feat. Gjaezon (Richy Ahmed Remix) 6:38

Kid Bliss – Disco Shit (The Remixes)

Artist: Kid Bliss
Title: Disco Shit (The Remixes)
Label: Get Physical Music
Style: Tech House, Deep House
Quality: 320 kbps

Kid Bliss’ ‘Disco Shit’ was a treat featured on the 10th volume of the ‘Body Language’ series mixed by M.A.N.D.Y. Now Kid Bliss is back with a handfull of remixes to throw your way. Digitaline brings a heavy groove to the table. The remix takes a new direction and begins with just a string of kicks, before opening the hi-hats and bass. Tim Winters slowly pulls the covers off before hitting the bass with all the right intentions. The chords slowly build toward achieving the nu-disco feel of the original. Tim adds a bit of a deeper feel to the mix to complete the remix. The ‘Retouch’ adds an updated flair to the original track, keeping things current with a few cuts here and there, a very interesting listen. SIOPIS lays his version on us, with his singature deep vibes and dirty basslines. A solid addition to a great EP.

Smash TV – Matthew Pervert

Artist: Smash TV
Title: Matthew Pervert
Style: Tech House
Label:
Get Physical Music
Quality: 320 kbps

Kai & Holger return from their Stateside adventures with ‘Matthew Pervert’ on Get Physical. ‘Matthew Pervert’ is a slow buidling groove attack. Saucy percussion sets the mood for a deep pumping bass under chords. A sassy vocal adds to the analogue ambience, worked in a coat of reverb and doused with delay. A sexy sound for steamy nights on the neverending dancefloor sessions Smash TV are known for. The second track, ‘Please’, starts immediately with a deep horn falling under kicks. A touch of techno emerges from the darkness and drives us insane. Followed by deep vocal lines and foggy chords to melt us at the core. This is your evening high, the point when you float away and the music takes you to a place beyond the dancefloor. Looking forward to hearing this in the next set from the boys.
